Privacy Policy

We explain in plain language what we collect, what we do not collect, and the choices you have. This policy is not legal advice.

Last updated: 2026-07-17

What we collect

To provide accounts, subscriptions, and proxy service, we may collect:

  • Account email — provided when you register or sign in on the website, used for authentication, subscriptions, and support.
  • Anonymous extension install ID and events — the browser extension generates a random install ID and sends a small set of product analytics events (such as install, login, proxy_on, proxy_off) to understand feature usage; when you are not signed in, this is not linked to your email.
  • Technical metadata about proxy connections — such as connection time, data usage, node, and error codes, for billing, quotas, and abuse prevention; this does not include the specific content of pages you visit.
  • Payment and order information — processed by payment providers; we retain order records to provision service.

What we do not collect / we do not sell data

  • We do not log your browsing history or the specific URLs or page content you visit.
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
  • We do not retain content logs of proxied traffic (such as page body text, search queries, or form contents).

Browser extension and proxy

When you turn on the Univista Web Access extension proxy, browser traffic is routed through Univista nodes to help you reach restricted services. The proxy applies only while the extension is enabled; when it is off, traffic is not forwarded through us.

Forwarding is for connectivity; we do not retain content logs of that traffic. Sign-in state and credentials are stored locally in the browser; credentials are issued by our servers and can be revoked.

Credentials and security

  • Website account passwords are stored as hashes, not in plain text.
  • Proxy credentials are high-entropy, revocable tokens that can be invalidated if an account is compromised.
  • We use industry-standard transport encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for the website and APIs.

Data retention

We retain account and billing-related data for as long as needed to provide the service. Anonymous extension events and aggregated analytics may be pruned or rolled up on a regular schedule. Except where a longer period is required by law or dispute resolution, we delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

You may delete your account via account settings or by contacting support (subject to minimum retention required by law and billing records). You may also request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. We respond to valid requests within a reasonable time.
